I use MultiDoc Converter to convert Word documents to HTML.
Batch add converted HTML documents using git.
Now we are considering how the API can batch update the CSS of HTML to the CSS of wiki pages.
Perhaps it will be helpful to everyone.

I had put an earlier comment about MS-Word images and how to use copy/paste to get them into WikiJS.

After further experimenting, I've come to this realization, which may be of use to some:

Your word document should be strucutred, and the Heading 1 and Heading 2 should be called 'Heading 1' and 'Heading 2'.
Your images should be "in-line" wrapping.

Using those two simples "rules", my experience is that the whole document comes through nicely using copy/paste.

Markus Lindahl: I am using the "Visual Editor", running on Wiki JS 2.5.201. I don't know more than that about the editor because I am using a hosted solution (I have no control over system configurations).
