Inline links content

As a non-linear wiki user for years I wish there would be a possibility to load content of other pages directly into the displayed page, when clicking on a link.
This means, if I have for example a recipe, with multiple ingredients and one of them is a link. if I click on the link, rather than leaving the current page it should create a (closable) section below the link, displaying the content of the linked page.
This way you could easily lookup references without loosing where you are and have the possibility to view details as required.
Just like a reveal macro for every link (probably if enabled, or follow the real link with shift or something)

it occurred to me after I voted up that I kind of have that by Middle-mouse in browser to pop up a new tab without losing the current tab & page position. then I just "tear off" the tab to another screen.
