currently, emoji render differently depending on whether they're typed as a Unicode character, or as an :identifier: — Unicode is rendered as plain text, which results in a (sometimes ugly) system-dependent glyph instead of its Twemoji counterpart.

i believe that for ease of use these two should render equally.
